Ted was a co-founder of Questar in 1985 and served as our President and CEO since 1991. Under his management, the company has grown from a visionary startup to a mature services company that is a leader in the three major markets that it serves.

Ted also served as CEO of Questar Educational Systems Inc. until its sale in 2006. He remains on its Board of Directors. Prior to the founding of Questar Educational Systems, he served as President of National Business Systems Inc. and remains on its board. He holds a Bachelor degree in Science from the University of Minnesota business school and worked as a CPA prior to joining NBS as its CFO.

Ted is committed to building a business which is centered on the success of its customers. He states: "My belief is that in any business it is your customer service and people that drive the success of the organisation." He has surrounded himself with a management team that holds to this core value.

Dianne Nilsen
COO

Dianne Nilsen is the Chief Operating Officer for Questar. In this role, Dianne is responsible for defining the overall company strategy, growing the business profitably, and managing the executive team. With more than 20 years of experience in consulting and survey research, Dianne has a track record of developing innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Prior to joining Questar, Dianne worked at PDI Ninth House, where she was Vice President, Client Solutions. Also at PDI Ninth House, she held the positions of Vice President, Research; Vice President, Leadership Development Products; and Director, Product Line Management. Previously, Dianne worked at the Center of Creative Leadership, where she focused on research and new product development.
She earned her PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Minnesota, where she was a Graduate School Fellow.

Ann Small
CFO

Ann Small manages Questar's finance, accounting and administrative functions. She works with each of the business units to ensure that they have the financial resources to serve their customers while making appropriate investments in future growth.

She is also responsible for the Questar HR team. She has served in various leadership roles at Questar since 1991. From 2002-2006 she served as CFO and HR Director for Questar Educational Systems Inc. Before working at Questar, Ann had management roles at National Business Systems Inc. and Belmont Distributing.

Ann has a Bachelor degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota.

Eric Rokke
CIO

Eric is responsible for all technical operations, software and systems at Questar. Eric has over 25 years of experience developing and managing software with an education and measurement focus. In the last 10 years he has concentrated on internet-based publishing, assessment and e-commerce. Prior to that, Eric was responsible for the design and construction of Compass, a leading learning management system. Eric has a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Augsburg College.

Joeseph Stanton
Vice President - Customer Experience Management

Joe Stanton directs all aspects of business development, product strategy and client program design. Joe combines a deep understanding of the fundamentals of market research with broad experience in serving major organisations.

Joe has worked with industry leaders such as Darden Restaurants, Panera, Walgreens, Mazda and UnitedHealthGroup, and has significant experience in customer satisfaction, brand equity, product positioning and market segmentation. Joe holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Augsburg College and a Masters degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa.

Steven Mars
Vice President - Global Survey Research and General Manager UK & Europe

Steve is responsible for the Questar's global strategic direction, particularly in Europe. Steve provides senior management oversight to the consulting, product development, business development and client services functions. Steve came to Questar in 2007 through the acquisition of Compendium Corporation where he served in an executive capacity for five years.

In total, Steve has over 15 years of experience in project, account and operations management. At Diversified Distribution Systems Inc. he held several positions including being Account Services Manager. Previous to DDS, he spent significant time in sales and customer service for Ecolab Inc. Steve has a Bachelor degree in Business Management from the University of Minnesota and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
